Lana Del Rey: Video Games

Voici une toute nouvelle chanteuse, venue tout droit de New York et qui se prénomme Lana Del Rey, qui est en fait un pseudo choisi comme nom de scène, combinant le prénom Lana (en référence à l'actrice Lana Turner) et le nom Del Rey (pour une Berline de Ford vendue au Brésil dans les années 80s); le vrai nom de la chanteuse étant Elizabeth Grant.
Elle est auteure, compositeur et bidouille elle-même la réalisation de ses clips vidéos en faisant un montage d'images chippées sur youtube.
Sa première chanson commercialisée en single, depuis le 10 octobre 2011, s'intitule Video Games. L'atmosphère musicale, l'aspect mélodramatique de la chanson, tout comme le look étudiée de son interprète, très inspirée par le cinéma hollywoodien des années de gloire (40s et 50s) avec ses longs cheveux à la Veronica Lake, ses grands yeux de biche et ses petites tenues propres sur elle, n'est pas sans rappeler le climat mystérieux qui règne dans les films de David Lynch. La musique mêle des sons de cloches et de la harpe à la voix basse et langoureuse de Lana, qui en dégage un sentiment de tristesse et de mélancolie. Car les paroles évoquent l'incompréhension dans un couple, le mec préférant jouer aux jeux vidéos que de passer du temps avec sa copine.
