Mais pourquoi le JT de 13 heures de Jean-Pierre Pernaut réunit plus de cinq millions de téléspectateurs (source : Médiamétrie) chaque jour ? Ce qui équivaut à une personne sur trois qui regarderait ce journal télévisé, qui est une compil de petits reportages des coins de France, plutôt qu'un réel journal télévisé d'investigation sur les nouvelles de notre planète ! Pour tenter de comprendre l'incompréhensible, un journaliste, Bastien Hughes, s'est puni en regardant et décortiquant le JT chaque jour, pendant trois semaines, du 23 mai au 17 juin 2011. Le résultat est sans appel et édifiant: répétition massive de formules gnan-gnan à souhait: tout est "superbe" (fête, soirée, endroits, images, reportage, village), "jolie" (coccinelle, fête, guinguette, promenade, série, village, marché, manifestation, plantes, fleurs), "formidable" (tradition, richesse, chalet, performance, rassemblement, opération), "belle" et "beau" (événement, exposition, région, village, images, nature, ballade, endroit, tradition, la Picardie, promenade, découverte, département, pigeonnier, rendez-vous, voilier, champ de lavande), "magnifique" (images, golfe du Morbihan,jardin, séries, endroit, paysage, musée), "sympathique" (idée, parc), puis "merveilleux", "hors du commun", "de rêve", "étonnant", "extraordinaire", "à couper le souffle", "colossal", "exceptionnel", "charmant", "délicieux", "phénoménal"; et "ça fait du bien de voir tout ça", oui, "ça fait rêver" J-P, "ça lui donne envie", tellement, qu'il termine toujours son JT par un sourire d'extase complète !!
